We are seeking a skilled and proficient Program Coordinator for the 2023 Canada Summer Jobs program at DAC Studios.
This position plays a key role in the success of DAC Studios’ creative animations department and is under the supervision of the Creative Engagement and Communications Director.
The coordinator is creative, organized, goal-oriented, and able to leverage the DAC Studios story to diverse groups on various platforms. The incumbent provides direct, and behind-the-scenes support to further the goals of the department. The coordinator is also responsible for creating and executing exciting and creative fundraising and donor engagement opportunities for all stakeholders. This involves researching new funding opportunities, executing donor relations duties, and assisting in the planning of fundraising events.

Founded in Oakville, Ontario, DAC studio is a leading Canadian non-profit initiative creating higher-level opportunities for the Black African community as they develop language and tech skills that can improve their life in Canada and beyond.
The purpose of this studio is to offer African people and those who are language deficient (English or French) the to come together and design and/or develop their missions.

Position/Responsibilities
- Grant research, writing, and applications
- Source and apply for the other fundraising sponsorships
- Coordinates and grow relationships with stakeholders
- spearhead a legacy-giving program
- professionally represents the organization at the internal and external events
- other projects and duties as required
IDEAL Candidate Must Have:
- Writing, event management/planning, public speaking experience, and some graphic design skills required
- experience with media relations and the creation of print and media packages an asset
- A high degree of accuracy with strong attention to details
- Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills
- Quick learner committed to continuous learning and improvement
- Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with highly developed written and verbal communication skills
