During an All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential rally held in Owerri, Imo state capital, President Muhammadu Buhari declared that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, would become Nigeria’s next president, with God’s blessings. Buhari had joined Tinubu in the state to present him to the people, expressing his appreciation for the tremendous turnout at the rally.
At the event, Tinubu promised to diligently continue President Buhari’s legacies, particularly in the areas of infrastructure development, agriculture revitalization, and transportation network enhancement. He also vowed to effectively manage the nation’s resources and increase revenue generation, as he did when he served as Lagos governor. Tinubu pledged to invest in education, just as Buhari had upgraded two institutions in the state to universities and made Imo a tourist destination.
Senator Uzodinnma, the Imo governor, welcomed the dignitaries to the state and emphasized that Imo is a part of Nigeria, and its people stand in brotherhood with other Nigerians. He thanked Buhari for his support for the state, and his presence at the rally was a clear indication of his commitment to lead the party to victory in the next election and beyond.
